According to Ephesians 2:10 we have been recreated in Christ Jesus to do the good work that God predestined for us to do.
This mentioned new life started in receiving God's love gift in faith and ends by calling on all of us to build a dwelling place for God in the Spirit, God's house is however called a house of prayer.
When the disciples asked Jesus about the work of God in John 6:29 Jesus answered, “This is the work of God: that you believe [adhere to, trust in, rely on, and have faith] in the One whom He has sent.” (AMP).
Therefore this recreated new life we received is a partnership with the Lord, where we surrender ourselves into His hands trusting in Him to do what only HE can do. In this partnership God will be glorified as Jesus said in John 14:14 And I will do whatever you ask in My name [as My representative], this I will do, so that the Father may be glorified and celebrated in the Son.
New Life Prayer Life is not about us it is about our participation in partnership with Jesus Christ the Son of the Living God. This participation is never about what we can do or as in a business partnership what we can invest.
Jesus is not concerned about HOW MUCH, but WHAT are you willing to give, and the ATTITUDE with which you give. He gladly gave Himself for us not considering His position, but what He can gain.
Consider the miracle of 2 fishes and 5 loaves.
When Jesus asked the disciples to feed the 5000, He was not concerned about HOW MUCH the disciples could give, but their WILLINGNESS to give what they had. It is not the size of our faith that determines the outcome, it is IN WHO do we put our trust. The disciples brought 2 fish and 5 loaves and said ‘this is all we have’ and Jesus said, ‘it is enough’. God made all things, and nothing we ask can be too great for Him to accomplish, but all that we ask can give glory to God our Father.
Consider a testimony to the glory of God by an old lady who was prepared participate in the mentioned partnership as she place her trust in Jesus. The old lady did not have any food to eat and discussed her situation with the Lord (prayed). The Lord directed her to write down all that she needed on a piece of paper and to take it to the grocer, in obedience she took the note to an unbelieving grocer. As she presented the grocer with her story, he tried to mock her. He then told her to place the piece of paper she wrote in obedience to the Lord on the weight end of the scale and to load food to the equivalent of the weight. The grocer did not know that her partnership with the Lord came into effect the moment she placed that piece of paper on the scale, in faith. She loaded all she needed without the scale tilting even a bit. Curious about what she wrote he opened the paper and read “Lord you know my needs”.
Are you willing to participate in a partnership with the Lord, as you put your trust in Him? Remember as you enter into a partnership with the Lord, His perfect Word directs this partnership agreement.
To be in fellowship is to be like-minded. When the bible talk about to be in fellowship it calls on us to participate, and we participate as we enter into an agreement with God and His Son and then do according to His will, just as Peter participated when he said to the Lord that he will let the nets down because Jesus told him to do so.
