Man in India, guided by God.
A man living in the depth of the Indian jungle, far away from any contact with civilization, one day was busy constructing a roof. As he was looking around him from his vantage point, his heart once again longed to know how everything got started. Later he reported that he had a strange compulsion to leave his job and walk away from his village, searching for the answer to "How did everything come to be as it is now?" He walked for days and suddenly felt that he should stop at one particular home. He knocked at the door. When he asked his question to the one opening the door, he was delighted to hear the man respond; "Please come in. I can indeed tell you how everything came to be as it is now."
This man's longing for God, even if he did not know it, was satisfied when the missionary who lived in that village told him of God who loved him so much that he chose to come to earth to rescue him from being separated from God for ever. The man understood and invited Jesus into his life.
One thing that is special about this true story is that at that time there were probably more than half a billion people living in India and not more than 1 500 missionaries in the whole country. He was led by God to stop at the only house in the area where someone knew the answer to his question. God showed Himself to this man because he was seeking to know the truth. He says in Jeremiah 29:13 "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."
