Tikvah renders the idea of hope based on a cord woven together as a strong unit. We are called in Christ Jesus to be overcomers, not in ourselves but in His strength and our unity of faith in Jesus to do the impossible. For it is writen that every promise is Yes and Amen in the name of JESUS.
Matt 16:18
And I say also to you, that you are Peter; but upon this Rock I will build My church, and the gates of the grave shall not prevail against it.
The key to this understanding is in that Jesus spoke to the disciples in Hebrew/Aramaic not Greek, therefore when Jesus who called Peter Simon in the previous verse said you are Peter, not referring to a name but a description. Peter in Hebrew is first-born as in Exodus 34:20, and in recalling what Jesus said to Nicodemus in John 3, that we must be born from above, Jesus said that Simon is the first to receive the revelation from His Father, and upon that revelation (that Jesus is the Son of the Living God) Jesus will build His active community, a community that trust in Jesus as the Son of the Living God to do what seems impossible.
